Usefulness of the Half Hook

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

thats a hook with a saddle, if your gonna make your own, use feeler gauge, it comes in whatever thickness you want.

i use my hook for single pin picking aswell as raking, but my small half diamond catches less inside the plug so i use that mostly for single pin picking.

i have only one half hook and because its the one that i use the most its the only one i bothered to get in spring steel so i dont have to replace it

I also mostly use the half hook, but sometimes take out the full hook for a high-set back pin with a low-set pin in front of it. Is there a thread about when/how different picks are used?
