Do the sites really care if you're a certified locksmith or whatever? eg.lockpickshop.com

That said proper locksmith tool suppliers are strict and you will need to be trading to get some of the more involved tooling,

Most places don't really care at all. Even with companies like Peterson, they have sold pick tools to many of us on this site with no questions asked most of the time. If you really want to play it on the safe side, you can enroll in the FB course and then place your order with whatever locksmith tool company. Seems like most places accept orders from students of the FB course. I've asked both Peterson and Hawley Lock Supply if they would sell to me and they said if I can show proof of enrollment or diploma they will.

if all else fails watch a vid. and make your own starters to see if you even like the hobby. Unless you already have/do then i would go with lockpickshop.

Every little bit helps. This can turn into a very expensive hobby for a lot of us if you keep on wanting to learn more.

Peterson doesn't give a crap if you order from them. I am a minor and not a professional locksmith, but they still sent me picks without question.

Same here i bought from lockpicktools.com and they did not ask for anything but in the legal terms it says that by placing your order you are a bonofied locksmith, automotive dealer, etc.
