how do you guys carry your picks?

title explains it all. Probably most of you in a case, if so, could you show me a link to that case? I carry mine in a glasses case, works fine, but kinda big, I wish I had something a bit smaller.

I do have quite possibly the thinnest wallet in the world, it is made out of paper. (it is awesome!) Point being, I don't mind things being...how can I say this...ghetto. So has anyone made a paper lock pick case?[/u]

i use a spare case off a gerber multi-tool. its just the right length.
i have seen artist pencil rolls which would be ok.
there is also a post on here where a medical instrument roll was used

Yes there are topics on this subject.

But I use an Army Surgical Insturment kit.. Its a thin pouch that you can slip your picks into it has about 13 spaces plus a pocket.. Look at your local Army Surplus.

I use the tri-fold case by Peterson. It's got plenty of pockets for most all types of basic pick tools and helps keep your pickset simple and well organized.

I use a devise made of a safty pin and a ball point spring, and pin the pick to clothing, so they dont' get lost. but this is only for the very small bogota picks, there are many things that can be used to carry the big commercial picks, it will depend on how many pounds of picks your gonna carry.

I have several cases, and picksets, about six actually - but here are my favorites. One is a handmade case that carry's a very comprehensive set of tools and a plug spinner, all fitting into my shirt pocket. The second is a modified marker, that carries a complete set of 7 double sided picks, so 14 picks in a marker, with a set of flat five, and HPC tension tools in my wallet.

I use two different cases one for homemade and one for store bought. My store bought (which i almost never use) is a bayer blood sugar moniter case(didn't think anyone knew what a glucose meter was ). The other for homies is just my picks rapped in green cloth with black polka dots rolled into a car stereo face plate case, the plastic box you put in your glovebox.

I normally have an old military map bag I carry with me. I have my main lock pick set in a leather case in one of the pockets inside the bag, but for my plug spinner, pick gun, and other accessories, I recycled an old leather carrying case for a desk set I was given as a kid.

Personally, I normally carry only one pick. I carry a SO half-diamond. The one with the thicker handle. I bought the foam sleeves/handles as well. I keep a tension wrench (home made, with a twist) stuffed into the gap between foam and pick. I keep this in my shirt pocket. I have found that the locks I want to open I can do fairly easily with this simple half-diamond. So, this works for me.

I do most of the time carry a set of SO jigglers with a couply of added keys in a hip pocket. (No, I will not provide pics of these keys on the open forum. Nor, will I dicsuss what I use them for in detail.)

When I think I might find a challange, I take the rest of my picks. And they call a commericaly made leather case home. But, they spend most of the time in my toolbox, locked up in my truck.

My normal everyday set is protected by a small pink hello kitty plastic case that used to hold pens and pencils. And I have a larger set in a rollout pencil case that I carry to competitions, lockouts or locksport meetings (useless most of the time bit looks cool on pictures *g*).

I only carry a set of Raimundo's bogota rakes and a half ball pick for wafers. I cut down the handle on the half ball and Ray's picks are perfect for carrying in a wallet.

I carry mine in a surplus CIA rectal concealment like the one pictured below.







makes my morning run a bit tricky.
