When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Is it the same one from this thread you started? viewtopic.php?t=20034
Have you taken it apart to look at the pins? What tools are you using?

trouble with a ezset I assume your new to this. ezset deadbolts have soft springs, use a rake very lightly. a light to medium light tension. should pop open in seconds. A small diamond works great too

EZ set is a kwikset knockoff. i have one on my front door. yours probably has 5 pins, and maybe if youre lucky, a spool or two. probably two. in the 2 and 4 pinstacks.
thats my experience with the EZ set locks.
that guy in the video is...... ill try and be nice this time......... unintelligent and probably residing in the country side of lower to lowest income class.
whew......that was hard.
go pin by pin, light tension, pay attention to what you feel and hear, and if you have to, take it apart and see what you actually have. thats the only 100% way to know whats inside a lock. regardless of what ANY package tells you.

Have you tried doing DB's beginners exercise? How much experience do you have? It could just be a pain in the a.. lock. I have a Tell commercial deadbolt that is a Schlage keyway, I even know the biting, but I have never been able to pick it. I can bump it open, but no matter what tools I try, I can't pick it.

You said you try single pin at a time right? Have you tryed raking it yet, just to see if your tension is good? If so (and you unlocked it) you may be false setting pins (pushing them to far up) when you go one by one. Since you are new and have your lock apart (or can take it apart) you can also take a few pin sacks out to get the feel of the stack you are having trouble with.

Schlage keyways do use security pins normally, remember tension is key. Even when opening a lock with the proper key any type of turning while the key is inserted it will bind
