You can install some security pins bought from here, www.lockpicks.com. And if you can I would also buy a mini pinning kit for Schlage or a Kwikset. This is so you'll have a varity of sizes of pins to use when you re-pin your lock. Disregard the MACS rule as well. It will make the lock a bit more challenging for you.

I have a Lockwood mortice cylinder and as far as I know for picking, it doesn't really matter if you throw in a pin from a Schalge or a Kwikset. Most pins are about the same diameter anyways with the exception of a few locks like Medeco. Or you can buy the manufacturer specific pinning kit by LAB. One of the big ones should carry pins for Lockwood but don't quote me on it. You would have to contact the supplier and ask.

Seems to be that lockwood in the US may be a different company than the one in OZ

Yes the lockwood here in Australia is different and unrelated to the Lockwood brand locks in the US.
The "Australian" Lockwood is now yet another lock company that has been bought out by and is now owned by Assa-Abloy group.

Would that pose a problem for pins from US locks from working in Australian locks?

yes, you have to install the pins upsidedown, and their Medeco lock pins rotate 20 degrees in the opposite direction.
