i finally got my lock from across the pound!! The problem is, the guy said it was brand new and boxed!

I opened the package to find the box all taped up, the lock and deadbolt receivers(whatever you call that) all scratched up, the round keyway protectors had their protective plastic all torn up and the installation screws were missing. *^&@$%$%@@

Now what would you guys do ??? I e-mailed the guy and he asked me if i wanted a refund. I guessing this will cost me shipping it back to England !!?? Or should i ask for a partial refund ?? By the way, the damage could not of been done by customs. And yes the guy had good ebay feedback

may have been sold as new but probably had it laying around the garage for years.

email the seller and ask for a partial refund as you now have to replace the escutcheons and screws.
cant see him refusing if he's a good seller.

I would ask what you plan on doing with this lock. For picking or for your home? If for picking, who really cares, as you got an extraordinary deal. For your home security? Well, how bad is the cosmetic damage? Do you need new escutcheons or was the plastic just torn? I would probably only ask for a very small partial refund.

UWSDWF you know where the funny is kept...In mah bukket.
