I am sorry I didn't read your just kidding comment that makes it ok for me but I don't know what the mediators are going to think of this.

They have already edited one of my threads (Not Complaining) and they will probably edit yours. I believe that they won’t to be a respected site that does not encourage any talk of illegal activity.

Ok I figured I better introduce my self in here and give you all a little history about me.

I grew up in Roseburg OR. I joined the US Army when I was 18 and served 4 years then moved to California then Arizona. I am a free lance programmer/dog groomer currently. I have many hobbies such as Fishing, Rock-climbing, Rappelling, Biking, Boating, Water Skiing, Snow Skiing, Mining, Computers, Watching American Idol, Any outdoor activities I can find and now locksmithing.

My locksmithing history is not really beginning (now that I think about it) because when I drove tow truck I became very efficient at bypassing locks in cars. I loved that part of the job. I have only picked one lock so far and that was with a paper clip. I have bypassed many locks though. My interest in lock picking is stimed from the part of me that is interested in the unknown and self challenging. I think locks cover both of these. I wouldn't mind doing a little lock picking on the side lines. I also feel it is one of the few hobbies that I can do anywhere I am. I could easily take a few locks when I am traveling and pick them whenever I get free time.

I look forward to learning this wonderful hobby and am very happy that I found a place to go that doesn't cater to the criminal world. I hope you all can enjoy my fear as I get better at lock picking. Every time I ever bypassed a new type of car it scared the crap out of me knowing how easy it was. I think I am going to go through this with locks also. I love the fear but not this type of fear.

For those that I have already chatted with on the forums I appreciate the time you have given up for me. It takes time to respond to people and you don’t' even know me.

I had stumbled upon this site last year and became very interested in learning lock picking as a hobby. I read a lot of the info present here about how to make a pick and how to pick. Soon though, I guess from a combo of internet FPS games and college I forgot about lock picking. That was untill a couple of weeks ago when my friend and I were out playing paintball and my friend locked his car keys in his trunk....don't ask me how.....anyways......I had my car there as well so we decided to go back to his house to get a spare set. The only problem with this was that his parents were out of town at that time and his house key was also locked in his trunk. Not having enough cash for a locksmith after paying for paintball, I remembered this site. We went back to my house, took out my dremel, took a hacksaw blade off of my dads hacksaw and got to work. After finishing a crude short hook pick. I realized I didn't have any metal to make a tension took out of. So we searched all over my garage and house for something to make a teshion wrench out of. After about 20 min I found a inside house door key (the type of lock on bedroom doors with the hole in the handle to insert it in). I hammered it out and off we went to my friends house. It took a good 30 minutes for me to pick his lock, but I did get him in his house and we got his spare set. This site saved my friend $35. ................... anyways sorry for the novel but I just wanted to tell of my 1st time picking. Needless to say the next rainy day we had I went to auto zone and got some old wiper blades to make a proper tension wrench and hace since picked several locks. Also, I just now ordered a set of picks online.

If you're looking for locks to pick, buy some but, DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON
I repeat DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON, they can and will break, then your house/car/safe/chasity belt is vulnerable or unable to be opened (think: emergency situation).
Keep it legal.
