When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

tubular lock help

Postby Rodfather23 » 6 May 2007 20:06

My computer case has a tubular lock on the front panel that I never use, so I took it off and picked it. It only had 4 pins in it so it pick pretty quickly. My problem (or atleast the locks problem....didn't car if it broke)....was that as I picked and turned the cylinders each pin and its spring would pop out of the lock. Has anyone else had that problem???or was it just a POS lock.

Hard to say for me, but I have never encountered that type of problem with the small tubular. I am guessing it has a malfunction.

A couple of questions that may need to be answered before getting a more acurate answer would be.

1. Was the computer bought new and the lock supplied with it?
2. How many time have you picked this lock before encountering this issue?
3. Is there a brand name or ID stamp on the lock?
