I purchased (click ->) a small 5 piece EURO set. I can open padlocks with it ok, but am finding regular locks on doors (i.e. kwik set) to be impossible. It was then that I noticed that these picks were EURO picks... and as I live in the U.S.A... is that going to make it harder to pick American locks?

It will have no effect other than having slimmer picks that may bend under heavy pressure. Euro or slimline picks are intended for the smaller european keyways, but work great for american keyways also.

I hope tht by 'locks on doors' you didnt mean that your picking locks on doors?
If so put the tools down and step away from the door,

if you had a standard set to compare it to you would notice pins slip off the picks a little more but you will get used to this and be better for it.
