locksmithing in nevada

i would like to become a locksmith in Nevada.

what requirements do i need?

i have read that i need to complete an apprenticeship program, and then obtain a permit, and then go from there.

any input on all this, and where might i find a recognized apprenticeship program?

i just found this info:

LOCKSMITH WORK PERMITS

Locksmith permits are regulated by Nevada Revised Statute 655.070 and Washoe County Code Chapter 25.

1. All applicants must have a "hire slip" signed by the employer. Owners must present a current Washoe County business license.

2. All applicants are required to complete an application packet which includes a form that allows the Sheriff's Office to disseminate any convictions you may have to your employer.

3. The cost of a new or renewal Locksmith work permits is $80.00. We will accept cash or check, payable to Washoe County Sheriff's Office.

4. Locksmith work permits require two sets of fingerprints be taken for both a state-wide and a national records check.

Locksmith work permits are issued for a period of five years.

sounds like i need to get a permit from the sheriff, and they gotta take my fingerprints (uh ohs) then i gotta get my boss to show valid certifications.

Just a question for ya. Your sig says "i am Tempature1 from youtube" like I should automatically know who you are. Are you the guy that dances around with panties on his head pretending he's in a sword fight with a lightsabre?
