Picking the Master Lock #3

Postby falkman » 14 May 2007 18:13

Im trying to pick the master lock #3, and it is NOT my first lock, ive picked many other locks with ease. I went on youtube and it looks like its easy to pick :(.

my picks(homemade:)

I would say yo should buy atleast a 15$ set. I think it will be much easier to pick with a good southord lock pick set. If it works for you than great i would just tell you to put medium tenion on the tension wrench. And use your diamond pick to pick one by one the pins. And have you checked the key cuts on the key that works with the lock? That could also make it difficult to pick or rake

mm, it could be any of those things but i think it may be your picks.
have a look at the templates thread, print some out and use them as a guide.
you also need to sand them to get rid of those rough edges!

With my experience with no.3's use light tension and rake up at a 30° or so angle. I can get it in 1 rake and right now all I have for picks is heat shaped safety pins, they work great.
