Is this bypassing a lock?

Okay so i have a armzone security lock i dont know if you are familiar with those but i guess i bypass it every time. What i do is just put the tension wrench at the bottom of the keyway put tension and i get my ball pick insert it all the way to the bottomm of the lock and start pushing the pick to the left and when that happens the plug (with the tension wrench) turns thus opening the lock.
I always thought that bypassing a lock you insert a bypass pick all the way into the lock and the shackle automatically unlocks so what i do is it bypassing? Considering that i also have to put tension on the lock to open it?

I think you accidentally picked the lock if the plug turned.

I thought that at first but i never touch the pins i just put the tension wrench put tension and i dont touch the pins i insert the ball rake pick into the back of the lock but the plug has to turn to unlock the lock.

If the plug turned, it's picked. If you just stuck a pick in the keyway and the plug turned, then either you got very lucky, the cylinder is extremely worn or it has few or no pins.

Bypassing a lock is where you open it without using the cylinder at all.

Bypassing a lock is where you bypass the part that the key would normally operate,

Can i also remind you that bypassing is not allowed in the open sections,

This reminds me a bit off some cheap knockoff laminated padlocks I have. I found that with enough tension the pins would sheer off between the plug and the shell. The tension required to do that was more than what you'd use picking but still wasn't enough to do any damage to one of my rigid tension wrenches.

Strangely enough, another of these padlocks came with no pins, another with no springs, etc, etc. all in all in the lot of 12 I bought, probably about 3 actually had all their working parts and were suitable for picking assuming you didn't put too much tension on them.
