you are right, i do not own them....i got permission from my girlfriend, and concerning my brother....he is second in charge, and i asked him and first in charge and they said its okay. i dont really need any official permission for that.

im in croatia and i dont know what mandatory means :cry:

Notice how I told you what to do in big bold red letters. I don't expect to be banned for it, likely grumbled at. But should it have been done in a purposeful thread, and caused a half-dozen other people to respond the same... what happens when I edit my post to say "Hi everyone, I'm black". Suddenly 6 people are banned for racial hate instead of responding to provocation.

Mandatory: Legally binding actions with penalties for failing that are enforced by domestic or international courts.

where that type of lock must be used by law... which is the only way I could see that every door in the entire country have them

the way i figured what you said to me....it isnt mandatory in my country, i was exaggerating...however, almost every home has it....since it is a poor country, almost noone buys expensive locks, or multilock door. i will post a picture of most common locks here as soon as i find it...

Unless I'm missing something here, that looks like a fairly cheap lever tumbler lock, but you were talking about setting pins.

Are you sure you meant pins, have I not spotted a cylinder somewhere in that photo, or have you put up the wrong photo?

no no no...the whole lock consists of two parts, one is that on picture, and the other part looks like this

(but its not mul-t-lock) and is inserted inside.
when you turn the key the lever of the lock pushes that piece of metal so it would stuck in the door therfore making it....umm...locked

You've posted up a picture of a euro-profile cylinder.

They can be used in mortice locks, but the hole where they go is considerably bigger than the hole in the mortice lock you posted up.

If you take a look at http://www.lockshop-warehouse.co.uk/acatalog/Union2144.gif you should see how large the hole is compared to the picture you posted.

Also from a hobbiest point of view, this part of the lock is relatively boring. Once the cylinder is picked, the lockset just operates as if a key was being used.

I think, given the thin width of the lock you've posted a picture of it is probably a 2 or 3 lever lock.

i know its not the right mortice lock, i just posted it because it was the first i could get a hand on, the one which you posted looks right.
btw, i know its boring from a lockpick point of view, i just wanted to show you what i mean of.

and YESSS, euro-profile cylinder is the word im looking for...these are the most locks in croatia

and that kinda locks i was thinking of, however, this is going off topic, i will post it in racoons post later on
