Okay so you are really new. Okay you should make real lock picks and then pick the lock. If you are using paperclips as lock picks use bobby pins instead they are alot stronger but doesnt cover how good a real lock pick is. So you would just use the tension wrench put tension on it, get your hook pick and start pushing the pins up in. With masterlock padlocks i usually sart from the last pin working to the first pin. It is a 4 pin padlock so im guessing it would be very easy. But be careful you could overset the pins.

Ok, I too don't like using my debit card on the net, but blake is right, you have just as much of a chance of getting bitten at a restaurant.
Look for our templets, I would go with chrispy's templet, his are to scale. Just print and cut them out, then paste to your hacksaw blade.
I would go with the hook pick with the most curve I have the best luck with that one.
Good luck

Hey
To answer your question thing, i own 2 master 130 locks, they do have a security pin or 2 in them. They where the 3rd lock i picked and can sometimes be hard becasue of the security pin/s.
If you want a cheap pick try using a bobby pin bent up at one end and filed down to a hook shape, it works better than a paper clip but not as good as proper picks, commercial or homemade.
Good luck though
Marco

Secuirty pins mean its much harder to pick. Do a few searches on the website and you will learn about them. But basically they are different shaped top pins.

i have (so far) an experience when the key for the lock is made pretty shallow, which means that the pin has to be pushed very little down (or up) in order to reach shear line. scissor83 is right, start with back pins, it wont be easy at first because you will have to actually "feel" the pins because you don't see what you're doing at all. and remember to apply minimum needed force for everything...if it wont go easy, it wont go hard either. top pins? i saw (someone posted pretty cool link with animated pictures) how security pins work, and i've seen that they are basicly separate pins. arent those mushroom pins considered different shaped top pins?

Yes mushroom pins are indeed security pins. Working by getting false set low. Tend to cause more problems for raking than SPP.

as far as i know:
1st: apply little tension, the amount perhaps equals the force that is needed to push your computer speaker
2nd: you need to feel it, after many hours spent lockpicking, youll know it, or try to disassemble the lock and try with 1 pin...try pin feeling excersise, you have a post on it
3rd: either you can see it (on first pin) or when you release the tension and if you hear clicks, you know you pushed them (though you dont know if they were overset)

1st as much as you would use to turn the key
2nd you will feel a click.
3rd you will know if the pin does not spring back.

Um I got the first one down.
Second I kinda can find the pin's now.
Third are your sposto be able to push it allllll the way up like so if you get all the pin's up you can see that back of the lock because some of my lock's have 2 lvl's push it once and it kinda goes half way second it goes all the way.
