what xactly is the probability of getting caught/how do they

Postby stealth'n'wealth » 22 May 2007 15:06

Hey all,

well i'm new to the forum and new to the sport, I'm hopin to get to the store this weekend to get some blades to make some picks :):)

But legality issues, (i did do a quick search) come first. I live in Wisconsin, and according to the legality thread, it says it okay to have them in your house, but not say..in your car or outside your house. Well I want to carry them with me in case i get locked out of my house, out of our car, et cetera. So I'm basically wondering, what is the probability of getting caught, and how do they do it??? I just don't wanna be busted for this, especially as I am a minor, gettin a felony on my record would kinda suck a little, so yea. So basically i want to know, what is the probability of getting caught, and how do they catch you??? Can they just pull you over randomly or what??

Anyone have any good concealment ideas?? I was thinkin of just makin a jackknife style one, and puttin some actual blades in it to make it look real, but what do you all think??

Thanks, and happy picking

carrying/transport

Postby kissnatcher1 » 16 Jul 2007 20:13

you could do that but as you are a minor i would say not to carry them around!!now as you probably think as a young person OH THEY WONT CATCH ME are you willing to bet your freedom on it?and then being young doesnt mean stupid but the next thing you would be wanting to show your friends and what do you think will happen when someone forgets to lock up or if they misplace something or the unthinkable something gets stolen who do you think will get the blame just because they know you have the tools.JUST SAYING now if you were just needing to transport them from 1 location to another you could do it just by putting them in a small case or box with a lock on it as they normally when stopped will just ask you whats in the bag/box but you better have a real reason for transporting them not just to have them on you. They could consider them B.E. tools and charge you as such"join a locksporting group"most have a member card etc that should help if you were found in possesion of your tools/and locks.haveing the locks with you will make the exsplaining a whole lot easier.Hope this helps also check your local laws

Locksport isn't right for you. You are approaching this with the wrong mindset and probably wouldn't benefit from participating.

Wait until you turn 18 and lose the desire for stealth and wealth.

(i think we went over this already)

The comments you make cause me to wonder....why do you pick locks? Why do you want to learn and what is your motivating force behind it?

Sorry if I sound condecending but the things you say seem to be borderline criminal intent.
