OK I know I have read a thread on here that tells you how to resize the pick printout exacly like it should be. I cant find it for two reasons.

1. I don't remember where it is.

2. When I search my system is hanging and then says I cant do a search this soon after a previous. So I cant search. I gave this time and then triied again but I think my computer is forcing a refreash. I will have my system checked.

Does anyone know off hand where this thread is I know its not that old?

OK thank you. I did get my search working don't know what was going on. Still didn't find it though. Many thanks that will help out becouse I could only get it within 1/67 of an inch. Maybe now I can get exact.

Don't be so set on getting the templates exact. It will likely just frustrate you. Try different variations of the pick styles. Or use no template at all. It's easy, just grind away everything that is not a lockpick. 8)

And those my friend are very wise words,

Its pointless making somthing that isnt so critical to someone elses measurements,

For all we know the sizes of commercial tools is because they can only get certain sized steel,

Make the picks and if they dont fit grind a bit more off but at least youve got what you needed anyway

Have fun,

All true. But we realize this now because we can and do pick locks with a host variety of tools and make-shift instruments.

It's more comforting to a newbie that they're unable to open a lock because they need to practice more, and not because they screwed up while making the pick. You want to get as many variables out of the way so you can't blame anything but your skill.
