why would you want this?

i personally prefere a non-destructive method of manipulating locks.

but for info on lever locks the best person for the job is DARK ANGEL he knows way more than most people here on picking / bypassing lever locks!

Because of possibly my worst ever double post, I think I could offer a little more help!

I think when drilling a mortise lock you are aiming for the metal pole that the springs rest on or the pole that holds the levers. This position defiantly changes from lock to lock so you would have to identify the type of lock before applying a template. (which by the way you could probably make yourself by taking the plate of the lock mechanism and tracing out the arrangement of the poles)

I don't believe drilling of locks is within the scope of this forum. This forum is about picking the lock- not drilling it. Chances are if you need to drill it you should call a locksmith, or take one apart and learn where you would need to drill to comprimise it.

Drilling points with lever locks. If you searched the forum for this topic you would have found out we do not like discussing it. Basically if you need to get in somewhere bad enough call a locksmith.

We will only discuss how to pick the lock in the general forum.
Consider me inactive or lurker.

The drill kit you have heard about is made by rimmer brothers but it is only available to locksmiths. You are generally aiming for the gate with the drill. The biggest problem for anyone attempting to drill a lock is identification of the lock itself, just think you have to look in the keyhole and workout which brand and model it is or you could be drilling in the wrong place and making it so the lock wont open at all even with the key. Some locks are easier to identify than others and as for picking if the lock is BS standard you are going to be at it a long time without the specialised picksets. These pick sets are aimed at just one brand and model of lock and cost a fortune. Take a look here for the picks.

Check out the european lock section for more info but the juicy stuff is only discussed in the sercure forum.
