I vote for heating the key as you insert it using visegrips or something to hold the key. You have the lock off the door so don't worry about the fumes because you can work in a safe environment liike outside in the wind. If you are near any kind of lab find a fume hood. The heat should melt the glue and allow the key to fit into it and turn. Trim the head off the key and it will fit through the knob. soaking the knob in many of the solvents will most likely ruin the finish.

This method work on car locks frozen with ice or glue also.

This is very simple chemistry. Cyanoacrylate: "Super Glue" has a solvent (not a common solvent like acetone however). It is sold where "Super Glue" is sold as a common material to prevent kids from having to go to hospital for imbecilic crap like gluing their body parts to their legs, etc.

- It's a nice lock; get the appropriate solvent (it's sold as super-glue solvent!). Use the correct tools for the job...check out "cyanoacrylate, solvent" via a simple google.

You could also try bleach or rubbing alcohol. Both of those eat plastic materials pretty well, given enough time.
