Questions For Canadians

I'm wanting to buy a lockpick kit but was wondering about the Canadian laws as far as possesion of these kits go.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about canadian laws, but it's usually best if you can order your lockpicks from somwhere inside your own borders. Then you don't have to have any run-ins with customs or anything. Your best bet is probobly to call a lawyer- they probobly know the laws better than anyone on these forums.

I Appreciate the quick response, i don't know if it's allowed but if you or anyone could link me to a canadian website that sells lockpick kits, that would be awesome

I called Canada Customs & Revenue Agency a few weeks ago and asked them to find out if there were any restrictions on lockpicking equipment coming into the country. When they finally called back, they told me there were no restrictions, but that I might want to find out what the legalities of possesion were in my province. Here in Nova Scotia simple possesion is not an offence. (Sneaking around at 3:00am in back alleys with a bag full of jewellry is not simple possesion.) Other provinces, such as Alberta (correct me if my memory fudged that up) have licensing restrictions.

Let us know what province you are in, and maybe we can give you more specific information.

I recently got a set made for me by Romstar. (I was going to write up a short review of them, unfortunately I've been sick and really busy with work, so I haven't gotten around to it yet, but the review will be a positive one.)

Thank You Frostbyte, you gave me the answer i was mostly looking for, i've been more worried about customs checking it out and keeping it and me wasting my money, i'm not so worried about possesion because it's not like i'm gonna be raided
