hi,
i have a american 1105 lock and i need to get it open
i have a key from another 1105 but it doesnt open mine. is
there any way i can turn it into a bump key? i've looked at
a lot of movies and all the keys they use are large. the 1105
keys have a big dip in the middle so i dont see how you can turn
it into a bump. ANY HELP IS APPREICIATED

What do you mean "a big dip in the middle"? Do you mean a deep cut? Can you post a picture?

If you simply have a lock that you need to get open, call a locksmith. If you would like to learn to pick, hang around because this site is a great resource. The practice locks we'll suggest that you get won't "need" to be opened because they won't be attached to anything.

I feel hesitant to help you due to the fact you neeeeeeed to get it open. The 1105 is made out of aluminum. So do you get my drift

Please explain why picking a lock has anything to do with your school? Those two words together in the same sentence are usually not good here.

Since you said you would pay to open it at the office it tells me that is the schools lock, not yours. Our first rule here is do not pick locks you do not own. Sorry, I can't help you with your problem.

Is yard birds a proper store? By which I mean, did you get 2 keys with your lock? You can sacrifice one to make a bump key. Do some reading. Plenty of info.

why did you buy the same kind of lock your locker has? you could have simply paid for the office to open the lock, then after your finals are done gone out and bought a couple new pin tumblers w/o security pins and learned how to pick them.
if you just want to learn to bump locks please just leave now.... anyways, imho bumping should not be discussed, it is a form of bypass which is advanced material...
