This is the only site of this type I've actually signed up for.
I like the standards it holds people accountable to.
Anyone in the Santa Rosa, CA., area looking to start a lock hobbiest group, please PM me.
I'm rusty, but still have an amazing set of key copies for antique manacles.
I also have some dusty escape info, straight jacket, rope escapes, etc, along with alot of other useless info., lol.
I hope to eventually have enough relevant posts to allow me into the "restricted" areas of this site, as certain locks have been annoying the hell out of me.
Good to meet you all.

I hope I'm doing this right. This is my first post. I'm not too good with computers. I just wanted to introduce myself. I would like to thank you for creating and maintaining this site. Everyone knows it takes a lot of work, dedication and commitment. Pat yourself in the back; great job.

new myself. I was going to get into this a while back but haven't had much time lately. Just finally got a few locks and began trying this out. It gets pretty addicting, lol.
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.

Hi All,
It has been a long time since I have been here and the last time I was I remember a question being asked about the Kwik Pick. I think the problem was pick keept sliding inside the case. I found that if you put small rubber o-rings between the case and the screw this will help the slippage. I hope this helps.

Hey I'm a noob to this site. It seems like the definitive resource for lock picking on the internet. Is there a better website for discussing combination locks, I have looked for several hours but can't find any decent forums on them. I understand they are available only to experienced members here.
Basically I have a safe that requires a key and a combination, as i already have the key am looking for somewhere to discuss the combination lock itself. As the safe is in my home time isn't really an issue to opening it, would prefer not to drill.

Can't help you there chaosmaster. You'll have to wait until you get into the advanced section of the site.
On another note, welcome to the site. Sit down, relax, and read. Ask questions when you cannot find answers by searching. Also, read the sticky about effectively searching the forums. It will make your searches much easier and quicker. You can also use google to do your searches if you limit it to the lp101 site . Stick around and contribute. Before you know it, you'll be in the advanced forums learning even more .
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Hello,
I'm new to the site. I worked for a locksmith for a couple years along with doing home alarm system installs. I have quite a bit of knowledge of alarm systems and also enjoy working with safes. I'm looking to get back into lockpicking again as a hobby and hope to get and share some good information on this site.

Heh, glad to have you, BUT, a couple of things
1 - duplicate accounts is frowned on, I believe someone can help sort you on that, in fact, I might be able to, but if I am, I don't know how to yet...
and
2 - SemiShady is ... sort of indicative of someone who might be...somewhat shady?
hehe, either way, welcome back to the forum, and I'll see if I can't figure out how to sort your multiple account issue.
