What I was trying to say is that although the internal process would be different, if you took a warded key, filed most of it away, cut back the shoulder, whacked it in and turned the lock would open.
In fact, the lock would open by simply filing most of it away and turning, the "bump" part of bumping would be superflous but not harmful to opening the lock.
I would agree that the lock is not vulnerable to bumping, but an attempt at bumping will succeed anyway and someone who doesn't know any better could be convinced the lock was bumped.
You know this got me thinking. Make a key that has a couple of wards. The cuts on this would have to have an angle but when you turn it the lock would be stoped at an area that has pins. This would deffently make the locks bump proff.
I'm not entirely sure what you are getting at here. A picture would help.
