If you are talking about shimming to unlock a door (Bypassing) that is advanced, and can not be discussed on the open forums.
If you are talking about shimming to remove a cylinder then search for the LSI guide to lock picking found here on LP101.

IF your talking about the KIK then you need to depress the pin on the back and remove the screw on bit <Insert technical name>.
Then you should be able o shim the lock from behind and cheat on the check pin.
All the best

It's a large format I.C. core.I've never seen A SFIC cire in the Everest key way. If it was SFIC I could just drive the pins out from the bottom, right?

Yo Comp!
I need some photos JUST like that for an article I'm doing for NDE, may I use?
It's about ICores in general and my only Schlage-style LFIC is missing the connection between the 7th pin and the retaining pin.

......................
is the retaining pin and the sleeve around the back of the plug...one piece!?
Some close ups of that mechanism, in particular, is what I'm looking for.

I was able to shim this lock. I used .001 shim stock. Ignore the change ring and shim it like a regular schlage.
Instead of taping a pin to the bottom check pin, take a key blank and cut it in half from bow to tip. This will hold the check pin up and server as a tension tool.
Help this helps.
