heres a quote from a english slang dictionary,
Noun. An idiot, objectionable person. Derived from the rhyming slang Berkshire Hunt or Berkeley Hunt, meaning 'c*nt'. Normally Berkshire and Berkeley would be pronounced Barkshire and Barkeley. This expression is generally accepted as inoffensive despite its source. Also 'burk'.

well worth a look if you want to have a laugh.

And here i thought it was just a word on its own that meant idiot,
Is it official that its rhyming cockney slang then?
Either way im sorry i moved the thread to the advanced sections, i got it wrong and didnt realise just what the score was until it was politely pointed out to me to which i put the thread back and appolagised which is what schuyler quoted,
He then removed it which made me look a right c**t

So as British version of Bender (of Tv's Futurama) would say "Kiss my shiny metal bahokie!"

Its all about saying things that take longer to say than the actual word you want or need to say and on top of that they have to rhyme as well like farmer giles - piles,

Right. But I don't know WTF a "Barkshire Hunt" is in the normal non-swear world. Is it some fox hunt?
