afish also has a point, there is more room to dip the pick when the tensor blade does not got all the way in, it really depends on the keyway how useful this is,
the only time when a tensor blade is too long is when you are picking a master 4 pin padlock and the end of the tensor is so deep in the lock that it actually blocks the locking dogs from withdrawings as you turn,
