When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

That looks like a nice set!

Ilco usually makes key blanks, locks and safe locks- http://www.kaba-ilco.com/

This is an automotive tension wrench. I have heard it called a wishbone tension wrench.

This is a double pronged tension wrench, to be used in automotive locks or pin tumbler locks (if it fits...).

Hope this helps,

Ilco makes some good key machines and blanks but I've always found some of their other stuff like locks to be kinda low quality. But thats probably just me.

It's not just you Eyes_Only...

...I bought an Ilco lock yesterday (to practice on) and ended up popping it consistently.

I didn't think 5 pinners were supposed to be that easy. :?

It may have been an ILCO lock but I'm guessing it was a KW1 keyway. Same as picking a 5 pin kwikset.

What's really scary is that I've picked Kwiksets that were more difficult than this piece of horse hockey. :(

I guess they really skimped on the bugger I bought...

Theres a small local hardware store in my area that sells Ilco brand locks with KW1 keyways that I was thinking of getting but I decided not to waste my money. The Foley Belsaw course supplied Ilco brand locks for some of its lessons and I swear it looks like these locks were cast or something. I think a regular drill bit could slice right through it like nothing too.

If the hardware store in your area has the Ilco KW1s for cheap (less than $10), I say grab one. At minimum, it can be used as a trainer lock (if you feel like teaching how to pick) or as spare parts.

As for the F-B locks, I'd pay some decent money to see a regular drill bit kill one of them.
