Would a regular locksmith sell warded key blanks?

I need one for an old house where the bedroom doors have them. Its the kind of key hole that you can see all the way through. I hoping it will give me something easier to try and impression also. Or, well a lock like this just require a generic key without any cuts?

These are called bit keys, and are pretty readily available online or even at some stores. I wouldn't say they're easy to impression-- you're cutting shapes out of steel keys!

the common answer nowadays is to buy the two skeleton keys that are sold in many places, such as the hardware store or the drug store. these are cheap and usually fit unless there are some levers in the locks, however internal locks, inside the house are unlikely to have levers, in a larger institutional building they may have levers, there was an era of leverlocks in the US not really so long ago, early twentieth century, they were the common mortise lock,
