Lmao UW.

Mataraia considering you are picking it with the paper clip to start with, you won't do a whole lot more damage by giving it some light rakes (but that's just my word). Most likely your paper clip will bend before the lock will break. If you do that though, make sure you have sanded the tip of your paper click so it moves really smooth in the lock; this will increase the success of your rakes as well as give you less of a chance of getting the clip stuck in the lock. Play with your tension as well. Start off light, then if the pins aren't setting add more, try variating tension ('bouncing')during raking too.

Is the keyhole of your lock wide enough to fir a bobby pin in the wide way? If it is, you can make either a half ball type of pick, or use the existing waves for a rake and schrub the lock with it. If you're now sure what I mean by a bobby pin : http://content.answers.com/main/content ... by_pin.jpg

You would have to take the (plasticy?) tips off, and sand the tip.

I'm really tempted to do the Japanese thing , just for UW  ,... but I wont.

Mataraia,

Your english is good enough for you to be useing slang so im sure you will understand this,

Please stop useing the symbols, all it does is alienate you from the people who will help you, type normal straight forward responces please,

Stop the text/leet speak as in 'cuz' etc,

If your learning english or american english then make an effort to do it properly without picking up the slang wherever you are picking it up from,

Now click on my www button and have a flick through the comic you will find on lockpicking i think it will help you out,

Trip doctor: Do you have any guide of easy raking ? I'm just a little confused about how to do that... And yes, the keyhole is wide enough for the bobby pin, i don't know how to use the waves for it, haven't seen any tutorial teaching this yet, i guess...

Shrub: I'm sorry, i did not mean to bother anybody, didn't even think this would bother you guys...
So.. I didn't though that using "cuz" would be considerated a slang, so i'll stop using this for now... Anyway, i gonna try, really, but if you ready some "u" or "cuz" or anything like this in here, just ignore, someday i'll get it..
Thanks and sorry...

Raking is raking, the principle is the same know matter what technique is used.

If you can't rake the lock, it's either because the warding in your lock is to restricted for the pick your using, the pick is to big, or the keyway is to small for the size pick your using.

Sounds like your making raking more difficult than what it actually is. Post a picture of the pick and the lock your working on, it might help.

Yea, perhaps a more focused picture of the lock with the pic would help.

Raking is just, well, lol, as Kaotic said, raking. As you would rake grass, but fast. You put your pick towards the back of the lock, then apply tension, and pull yout pick out, flicking the pins up, and usually you have to do this more than once... for me, much more than once, lol. Scrubbing is (well again.. the word describes it) jiggleing and shoving a pick back and forth through the pins in your lock (usually done with a diamond pick or rakes - jagged, snake rake, W rake, etc).
I think when mentioned, raking usually includes scrubbing as well. It's kind of a general name for that type of picking.

Try using a combination of raking and picking. Perhaps rake the lock a bit, and if for instance you feel a couple of pins/wafers set after some rakes, but then after more rakes nothing else is setting, start picking pin by pin.

There's probably some threads on raking on here. I couldn't imagine them not being here.
