Bell Plug Puller

I was called out to a lady who had locked herself out by pulling the door closed behind her. Straight forward I thought! Only to dicover she had left the keys inside the lock (euro) which were turned. Out came the letter box tool, unfortunatley it was a very small letterbox and had little room to manover. To cut a long story short I drilled out the plug and turned the bolt. While doing this I rembered reading about a tool called a Bell plug puller and the question is does anybody have experience with this tool and are they worth the money or just another gimmic?

Most european locksmiths have some means of doing what this tool accomplishes. If you don't want to spend the money, there are much cheaper ways of accomplishing the same goal that look less professional.

Any suggestions on how to make a cheap version?

My suggestion is you get practiceing because drilling a lock because you couldnt be bothered opeing it the right way isnt somthing we give help on,
