I know theres not much you guys can write or say to help me pick this lock. Iv put alot of hours into picking this lock only to have it opened twice.Im not the best picker and I do have alot of trouble picking locks but i can open most kwikiest alot fast then these defiant locks and defiant are cheaper price wise then kwikiest.

Anyways this is a 10 dollor defiant deadblot 5 pin i dont not have a key for dis lock ill post a pick of it.It had a spool pin in it but by luck i raked it open and took out the spool pin and replaced it with a normal pin (so i could pratice picking a spool pin).I have trouble finding the 1st bind pin on this lock and when i set it a couple of pins they drop and i have to start all again.I dont understand whyitsohard for me to pick after even taking out the spool pin and i cant take out a couple pins because i do not have a key or bump key or anything but picks.Im going to try maybe make a snapper pick to open it if that works.Normaly i dont make postswhen i cant pick i lock i just deal with it and keep trying but this lock is really putting up a good fight for a DEFIANT.O here the link to the pic of the lock http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z12/ ... When you disassembled it, did you take note of the bitting? It's pretty common when you run into a cheaper lock that's very tough to crack, that it has a nasty bitting and you're likely oversetting something in the process of accessing pins further back.

that lock has 1 of the crappiest tolerances for production locks. i have had alot of luck raking those locks and noit luck single pin picking. i seem to find that the pin stacks rattle around alot from side to side.

Sometimes if I can't find the binding pin I just use a hook and push each pin up starting from back to front, then try random pins. With 5 pins it doesn't take long till you find the right combo.
