usually clockwise but you can flip the small metal disk on the back of the lock to enable it to open anti-clockwise.

Would there happen to be a template anywhere for one of these for all of the DIYers?

John

Yes basicaly that is what i meant,

Im dont mean They are a lockies tool only and you shouldnt be playing with our tools  i meant that spp them would give the hobby picker what they want from this hobby and thats the satisfaction of picking the lock,
A tubular pick that is pushed into the lock and turned to open the lock isnt really anything to be proud of,

If you want one go ahead and go for it its no skin off my nose,

Doyle, as said it doesnt matter which way you turn it if theres nothing stopping it from turning one way,
If there is somthing stopping it from turnig one way then that could be either way and us to give you an answer would be pointless,

Can i ask you a couple of things?

What is the lock you want to open on?
Is it a lock not fitted to anything?
Why do you not have the keys? (if you had the keys you would not be asking which way to turn it),

I am gogin to make an assumption that legally or not your actually trying to open a lock in use and for that we will offer no help im sorry,

Please clarify these questions and we can advise further,
Shrub
