Southord sale?

Postby blake1803 » 8 Jul 2007 15:25

I saw on a few places today that Southord is having 25% off sale if you put a certain code into the comments section of your order (I'd post the code but would rather wait until I know it's legitimate). Can anyone confirm/deny the sale? I didn't receive any sort of mailing or notice from them despite being on their list, so I'm not holding my breath just yet. But I have seen this on a few websites, so who knows!

Yeah they sent me a e-mail since I'm a "valued customer" (I've only ordered from them once). I forget what my code was cos I deleted the e-mail. They haven't had anything new that I wanted or needed in years so the sale didn't really entice me at all.

Ah, weird. I ordered from them once before too and didn't get it.

I figured this might be of interest to people who might have wanted some of the more specialized things they carry but never bothered to buy because of the expense (circular spring loaded tension tools, tubulars, etc).

It's real. I got discounted stuff from them last year. Haven't figured out what I want yet (if anything) this year but here is the code/instructions:

When you place your order, in the "Comments" section of the order page, simply type in "SS2007" and we'll automatically take 25% off the cost of your order.

They do it every year. I got a bunch of stuff last year with the 25% discount. Sweet.

Their individual slimline picks are pretty good quality, not as sweet as Supersteph's new set of de luxe picks from Locknewbie, but once you spend some time with some emery cloth they're nice picks.

I'm gonna get a new 7 pin tubular tool and some warded lock picks.

:)

Trip Doctor: they say it's only for existing customers, but if you call or send an email you can ask to make sure. It wouldn't surprise me if they accommodate everyone... I literally haven't dealt with them in years but I remember very friendly service on the phone.

After you've spent about $50 to $75 there and read all the stickies on this site, you won't ever need to go back to SO ever again.

I should have mentioned that this sale ended on the 14th... if a mod could lock this thread that would be tops.
