Has anyone ever heard of the Automam?

By the way its a general question so i believe it is ok to ask on how good the product is and not how it works?

I know about their legal history with it trying to be sold in the US and breaking T codes patent laws.

Not from experince but I have read that it works well. But it can not be updated.

I loooking into buying this programmer. If a well respected and nationally known locksmith was selling these and then have T-code's makers sue for patent infringments. "IT tells a lot about the product?

An independant investigation was made into the Automam product. The lawsuit is adjourned at the present time. Suffice to say that AD (Advanced Diagnostics) sued American Auto Lock (I think) for copyright or patent infringement.

The long and the short apparently....Automam....infringes on AD's patent in the USA and the UK...so the product is illegal in those countries. Meaning it can not be sold or bought in those countries directly without a felony occurring.

But...if you bring the product into those countries from overseas yourself....as a personal item...there is no case for prosecution....as far as I am aware.


The software has been directly copied from an AD100 or the like....the chip was pulled and read apparently.
