LN21, I would like to ask the same question. I don't think that your mistaking the sanding drum holder for a buffing wheel, I hope. But I am curious as to what you mean.

Could you post a pic?

I like cut off wheels for cutting. ( I know that is a stretch but something about the name...) :P And then I really like the thick brown disc that comes in the kit for some shaping. and then I think the rubber disc in question is the gray thick (about .2 or .25") rubber'y wheel to polish. Although I never thought to use the compound with it. You know, that is one thing that really bugs the snot out of me, the compound or the dremmel has absolutely no instructions on how the compund is to be used. :?

Oh yah, and the kit I have is actually the accesory kit that is blue colored with 2 clear doors and has a lot of cut off wheels to the left and sanding drums on top in the middle and grinding bits just below and to the right is various metal cutting and engraving bits and bottom right is a circle cutting attatchment thingy. has like 200 pieces counting cut off wheels.

Those cut off wheels are rad for cutting stuff. I even used it to cut conduit once. It cuts through locks like nobody's biz.
