key code sequences

Postby greyman » 14 Jul 2007 9:48

Hi Jimmie :)

You could generate a sequence of codes using these rules and use them to maybe speed up the impressioning. It might be a bit risky though since you can never be sure if the key was cut using the manufacturer's rules.

I have some examples of how to generate such code sequences in my book.

Hi Graham

that's right !!! but you can also use such codes to generate "computer picks" or "magic keys"

in fact these rules are good to know but as you said you're never be sure the specific manufucter applies them or some of them on one of his locks you're trying to unlock

in fact for mechanically reasons some of these rules are always used on a particular lock

it should be fun to test some of your codes on a particualr lock and compare the results with a working key

see you soon Graham sorry I'm really busy right now
