Help removing door knob

Hey guys,

Anyone know how to remove the doorknob from the rest of this assembly, I'm leaning towards just yanking it off...

If this is a Stanley-Dexter brand....pick the lock...turn to 7 o'clock and pull the cylinder out of the knob...then rekey as required.

Without seeing the front of the knob it is tough.

Sorry man, that was unclear, there is no pin tumbler lock in this at all, its just a passage knob.

Isn't there a small hole on the inside knob? you should be able to press it then pull the knob off.

Grade 3 passage knobs. These are not really designed to be disassembled but can be done. You'll just have to look it over and figure out the best plan of attack.

Why are you taking it apart if you dont mind me asking?

I have recently discovered that key in knob locks are the bane of my existance, Although I know what you have here is not one, if you plan on working with them in the future just when you think you have all the tools needed to take them apart you will find you do not.

It looks like its been crimped over,

You need to bend back of file off the parts peened over to remove the knob,
It will likely not fit back together again once those parts are removed and brass or plated cast aloy will break if you try to bend it back again afterwards,
