Tubular lock ace 2 question

Hi i bought a tubular lock pick from southord , its a 7 pin pick.
I picked a lock with it in 1 minute , a good tool.
Now my question is , can i pick the ace 2 lock with it too ??

it is possible.... not likely but possible and certainly not in the manner that you'd use the pick on a normal lock

well thats a lock that is found almost exclusively on vending machines, cash boxes and other 'illicit' places... so I really can't go into this any further, nor can anyone else

hey pipi666, I notice its your first day round here. congrats on getting your first lock open so quickly. but I must say it strikes me as odd that your interest lies with tubular locks.

Most people start on more regular locks and then play with these later. mainly because the tools are so expensive in comparison.

May i ask if there is any reason for the interest. as these locks are rare in home use. I picture of your locks with your name on a piece of paper would make me feel much more relaxed about offering any further advice.

well ok if you guys dont trust me its a pitty , im not a thief nor a burglar , im just intersted in that lock thats all.

ps , here in europe many vending machines still use the normal tub lock.

the point isnt that anyone may or may not trust you. but we are careful what we answer as this is a public forum and anyone that may not have legal intentions can come on and read it.

But that said. if you could show us a picture of your locks then no one could dispute that the tubular locks you are picking are yours. I have a few that i have played with. and i can happily produce pictures of any locks if it was ever questioned that i was up to no good.

An odd question for sure !
You have your tubular lock in hand and your pick and it worked, good for you.
Now you want to pick your ace 2 lock, nothing wrong with that.
So go try pick it , why come here and ask if it can be done, just go and do it , what's the problem ????
If it works it works if don't then it don't , that's when I would expect the question to arise.
To make sense your question should read:
"I picked a tubular lock, now I tried it on my ace lock but it don't seem to work for the following reasons , etc, etc"
But no, your question is phrased in a manner which says to me, that you don't own an Ace lock, but would like to know if your equipment is able to open such a lock, and how.
Subtle but significant difference :-)

The Ace II was probably specifically designed to resist that tool, but its not 100% effective at that if the picker knows the problem.
You opened the common ace lock with the pick doing most of the understanding of the problem, to do the ACE II you are going to have to supply the part that comes from the picker, knowlege of the problem and some skill and intelligence in problem solving,

I think you havent bought anything and want to know if the picks will open aceII's before buying it :wink:

An aceII needs to be spp with the tools, thats a great pointer for you and all you need to get gogin on it, make sure the machine is unplugged or else you could electrocute yourself once open,
