Is this Bump key messed up?

u need to get the spacing correct. that looks way off 2 me. or just buy one. or get a locksmith to cut one for you.

Ok well that was my only Master key blank i still have a Schlage and a Kwickset
is there anywhere that could help me with them i wish there were templates.

You can use a regular key as a template. Just make all your cuts very low, but with the same spacing. Where the peaks are on the real key, they should be on the blank key, except lower.

search and find the bump key pdf ... read it twice and then once outloud before you ask anymore questions

*sigh* You really should be searching for this stuff. but you can cut a regular key down. you need to research and find the root depth of a 9 cut on the key you are making for a specific lock.

heres some information.. there depths... root depths.. spacings..

but with out a cailiper... it will be hard.. like mentioned before.. I would find an old key with a really deep cut.. and get the spacing and depth information from that..

Here is a picture of a master M1 bump key. Print it at various scales until it matches the size of your blank key.
