Ok i dont know if you would consider this bypass as it does use a key.I am wondering if anyone has played with the newer schlage keypad lock? I have played /checked them out at are local hardware store and the lock itself is free spinning till you type in the code wondering if anyone has had a chance to try them? Just thought this might make a good topic if its not bypassing

Is it a digiatal lock or one thats classed as oine?

Ie a lock that has buttons or a dial that need correct numbers to be set before the door will open?

Or is it a padlock simular to the master locks?

no its a dead bolt that also has a key pad the lock itself is free spinning till you type the code in then it uses a mag"i think"and will stay solid for about 30-45 sec.i have a brochure on them says they install in 30 min with just philip screwdriver and uses a 9volt battery.They have them at home depo and lowes her in the states.I dont know if i want to spend they $87 to just play with it so i was wondering if anyone already has.

Ok, bypass is a way of opening a lock without the normal method of a key, regardless of the make, model or how a lock is put together if it is opened without useing the normal method or by picking the locking mechs then it is bypass and not allowed in here,

Digital locks as in locks that need buttons pressing to enter a code for the lock to open or a dial to be turned are not discussed in the open forums excpet some brands of combo padlocks,

Locks that require electrics to operate are not generally discussed in the open forums,

Sorry to wet the fire a bit here but on all accounts i think this isnt up for discussion,

If it also has a keyhole and that keyhole is an override then yes it will be easily opened by someone able to pick the lock,

Can i also give a tip?
Use a descriptive title as schlage is a brand and this thread would have fallen in with all the others and remained unsearchable to a vast extent,
