My homemade picks, what's missing that you always use

Hi guys, This is my first post so please be gentle.

I've decided to learn more about picking in general and organize my knowledge and this is the place to be. I do not own any professionally made pick sets though I have been suggested to start with the MPXS-14.

Below I've attached pictures of my homemade picks that i made using bandsaw blades, a dremel, and tension wrenches with a blowtorch and spring steel. What am I missing from my set that you would consider essential? Thanks again for the help.

I suggest you make a diamond pick aswell. They can come in handy. Oh and i really like the look of your hook pick. Its definately the best looking pick out of your set by far. The others look like the could use a bit of sanding.

borrow \ steal usage of a bench grinder. it gives a much better finished look to the picks.
you'll be able to finish with nice clean lines, rather than ratty edges and squiggles.

i'd say try working on:
double ball
half diamond
short hook
saw
snake
bogota wave
bogota hollow diamond

that's about it really. making picks is easy. perfecting pick-making takes a long time.

well what i see in the pic's your picks look pretty good for starting but i would look into makeing some kind of handle"maybe shrink tape"as when you use those for any amount of time i can imagine what your fingers will look like lol.i use heat shrink on my 1st home brew set.now im looking at makeing better wood handle that i can change out maybe you could try that as well...good luck and keep up the work

Like kissnatcher mentioned fix up the handle a little bit. Even before applying the heat shrink handle try filing off the saw teeth first.

Half Diamond
A few different lengths of hooks, dif angles too.
Tight curve and loose curve snakes and bagotas
a few ugly looking sawtooth rakes
(you will be suprised how usefull the UGLY ones can be)

Try a few feathertouch tension tools as well.
