No chance.

Its in use. it looks like an industrial door as well.

If you mean you have jammed it there call a lock smith. if its not jammed and you just cant turn it any further STOP PICKING IT.

It is entirely possible you are picking it the wrong direction. Some cupboard locks, the key will turn both ways but only one way will open it. In your case, it is likely you have picked it the wrong way. You could use a plug spinner to spin the plug the opposite way.

The reason for the jam...is more than likely the cam on the back of the plug is hitting the back of the boltwork inside the mechanism.

If this is a latching cupboard lock then a plug spinner wont help you. but you could slip the latch to open the drawer or cabinet.

Man, don't help him!

It's in no provable way his door. Those photos were taken outside, and it could be anywhere.

Plus, if he had a key he would know which way the lock turned.

kostassk8, could you take a larger picture of the area of the lock? Like the entire door, cabinet, whatever it is? We'd like some proof you own this lock.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Eyes_only, he has access to the thing. hes taking pictures of it and sticking picks in it. i don't see how a picture of the whole thing will prove anything?

Well it is obviously in use, so I have to ask: Why you need to open a lock in use?

If he lost the key, he needs to call a locksmith to get it open and replace the lock and / or cut a new key.

Does it really hurt to help the guy? You can't prove if he is allowed to pick that lock or isn't allowed to pick the lock. If he ask the question and did not add pictures to help you guys understand, you would be giving him solutions in a second. So I say you guys just help the guy out, he shouldn't be punished for posting pictures of it.

I'm not going to lock the thread, because I don't particularly like the "shoot first, ask questions later" approach...

However, I do think it might be fitting for the OP to come back and maybe give us a better understanding of who's lock this is, and so on.

I'd also like to make the suggestion (again) that it is unwise for beginners to pick locks that are in use.

In the mean time... let's all just sit around here and wait for the OP to come back and offer a better explanation.

Sound fair? :)
