Lockpicking sets

Postby Proctor » 26 Jul 2007 6:22

Hey all..Im going to get a lockpick set for my birthday ( 10th october )
and i was thinking about what set i should get im thinking that the set is a good set - 9 picks, 1 broken key extractor, 4 tension tools and six slip on sleeves..and a case.

Is this set good enough to get started properly, atm i use hairclips / paperclips :P i can only open small locks tho about 2 pins lol =D still gets the job done tho ;)

Help please ;) thx

Also i think ive broken my lock too, i picked it but then i move the tension tool and it gets half way and then wont move any more.. whats wrong with it?

been with this forum for a bit. Hardly post cause i read all the stickies and search before trying to ask a question. But, yeah, that set will do you a whole lot better. I got the stainless steel 14 piece set. It does my needs and if i need anything else, i'll just make it myself. As far as euro locks using slimline, have no clue, never came across a need or seen a euro lock as i've just begun this hobby.

The top pins may have dropped down into the bottom of the plug if I understand your plight correctly.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture
