Steet Sweeper Bristles

this particular post makes me feel out of touch with city life.
the nearest streetsweeper from here is an hour drive away.

I saw one of the flat steel drain snakes in the hardware store for 8bucks and change, it was twenty feet of potential picks. I left it there, I don't have a project for it right now.

personally, i find street bristles too springy for picks but for tension tools they are perfect ( if you heat them)

I don't know about this street sweeper business,I have spent quite a bit of time in and around council yards in yorkshire and lancashire here in the UK,and so far I have only ever seen nylon bristles on the brushes on the road sweepers.I'm not saying they don't have metal brushes,obviously they must have but I don't think metal is the norm for the sweepers I have looked at,maybe nylon is cheaper or maybe different councils might use different brushes but like I say,nylon bristles are all I personally have seen on sweepers here in yorkshire.

As i said up there nylon is fast taking over but over here it is a case of differant council use differant brushes, wales tend to use steel bristles i think but ive never seen any either,

In the us it may be a totally differant story however as they still sound common,
