yea, and i like the idea of my dad keeping them with him, or hiding them, or that he tells my mom that they don't leave the house, or even my dad getting into lock picking that would be cool too, i mean who doesn't like doing stuff with their dads, well i do atleast
If a lock can be figured out, then how come women can't, they are both puzzels? Hold on what am I saying, us guys will never figure out women lol

I dont care if you hate your dad even thoguh i know you wont do deep down,

But as for being a reprobate sorry isnt good enough, you need to make your decision now and decide if your gogin to be a vadal or a decent person, your mate wants a good kicking for doing what he has and to be honest i bet you werent far behind him when the matches came out,

It just worries me that weve made a mistake and all the leniancy weve shown you has been wasted and were actually primeing the next Raffles,

yeah i had/had the same problem...but once they saw i did almost nothing with paper clips they didn't put any atention to it.now i decided to buy a set for aprox. 50€ but i know it'll need some time, because i dont have credit card, and i'll have to do it by bank. and i dont know, it's somehow unpleasant for me to send them money, so i think i'll soit in next months  i dont have grinder at home, so i'll do it with sand paper...i WILL become a hobby lockie, and if this is the last thing i do(even if i'll have to give up my angel g7)

yea, i am working on my dad hes on the brink of saying yes, but he kinda thinks that same way my mom does, it makes me look like a kid thats going to be sent to juvie, so i will see what happens, who knows, she might change her mind, i totally impressed her with my shim skills( like it takes skill ) but i will never know, they see me on these forums all the time so they know i am hooked, just hope i can eventually get a set, even if they are homeade ones that might bossibly suck because my dad and i screwed up on making them lol

Any respect I may have had for you is gone after reading that post. Do you have a roof over your head? Do you have food and clothes? If you were my son and said something like that you'd be hungry, ragged, and homeless.

sanding

Postby raimundo » 20 Aug 2007 7:59

there are some complete nu b's talking about making picks with sand paper, while that may be possible, it would take a long time and a lot of work, you can make them by using files to cut away the mass of material that has to be removed, and do final shapeing with smaller and different profile files, Sanding is the finishing process, it does do some shapeing, but not so much. A good tip is to use wiper stiffener or streetsweeper bristle as there is less mass to remove from these thinner pieces of metal.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!

Don't hate people.

If there's something you can change then do so.

If you can't change their minds then pity them - as far as I've seen, the nastiest people tend to be the loneliest. I guess this sounds like one of those "I heard this said by a smart guy, so it makes me sound smart" comments, but I've honestly found it to be true in enough cases.

To those who get wound up and let other people get them down, here's a quote:

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind

Enjoy life - Some would kill for even the meanest existance.

SOrry... I went a bit off-topic there.

I no I and many other people here hate the idea, but it can just about be done with paper clips if you are that desperate. Or bend any other thin gauge wire into the shape of your pick and a tension wrench, so long as it is stiff enough. There are draw backs though, your hand with have cramps for the first week or two, they bend very easy and have been know to get jammed in the locks. I think you have a few options. Send plans to a friend with the right tools to make a set of picks and give him some cash for the trouble, get a friend to buy you a set, do buy with paper clips (not advised) or like other people have said, get sanding.

Yep unfortunately PROCTORS attitude is basicaly what every teenagers takes in britain nowadays.

Gangs of cowardly bastards run around the streets today terrorising people.

"I hate my dad" Well, if I was your dad, I'd beat the ever loving shit into you.

Anyway rocket man. I have recently been making my picks from hacksaw blades and I have found that they are much superior quality and perform much better when picking a lock than picks like SouthOrd or any other rubbish bought of the internet.

If you are really that desperate I will send you some tools, just give me time to grind and make them.
