Ive not seen the alarm before but the actual boxes are quite common at ex army warehouses or at least ive seen them regulary,

I guess the seller thinks that the alarm makes it worth 5 times the cost of the others,

I have something similar in my possession right now. It was given to me by my grandfather and it has a wafer lock with a yale keyway on it. From what I understand, it's not a safe, but a "miser box". The "alarm" even has similar circuitry. I'll post pictures soon.
