has anyone read the locks safes and security 1st edition ? 1971 I think
anyway im buying it used online for $35 well its not the 2nd edition but should be worth the money

This author wrote a book on this subject on or about 1971 and I was somewhat disappointed in that edition at that time. This book is another world. You would not think this was the same writer. It may have taken thirty years or so but it was well worth the wait. I do not think there is another book available on this subject that can even begin to compare with this creation.

Do people feel that there is that much of a need for a good book on lockpicking?

I had assumed that there was enough material out there for people to read and learn from.

If I am mistaken, please let me know what you would like to see in a lock picking book.

a tip ,picking or by-pass method in unaware of i have been picking for over 20 years and im still learning new things for example untill just a couple years ago i never herd of weighted tension it's not that big of a deal but it was still fun to try it out

I almost have them talked into buying me the second edition, i am waiting for the paperwork to come back to see if i can get the government one...... from what i understand it is quite difficult to get, however, i thought it was worth a shot, in any case if work cant provide me with a copy i may just fork out the $250 or whatever it costs... Does anyone out there actually have a copy, is it an worthwhile guide that actually shows diagrams etc... etc... anyone know the difference between the different version? (im just curious if it worth me going through all this trouble trying to get the gov edition)

I did that a long time ago, i never really found anything stating exactly what the difference is, except that one comes with more cd's than the other one....

A good book to purchase that you would not be able to put down,is the HPC,INC safe and vault manuel.It gives you all the lock terminology if your not familiar with the tearms,how to change codes,drop in posistions and drill points.This book cost myself about 150£ but well worth it,all drill points are coded incase the book is lost or stolen.the book can only be purchased by registered locksmiths.
