so i'm across the state from my home town for my wife, she is in a masters program for teaching, and she had 3 weeks off and I thought i could go down to the local locksmith and ask if I could hang out and gain some experence.
I got dressed up nice, and went to talk to him.
The first thing he asked was what I wanted to learn?
OOP's I just stated rambling about how I was a certifed locksmith and how in my home town, that is an island the locksmith only come over once a week, and how I own a tow truck company and the main thing I wanted to learn about was vehicals, and safe deosit boxes.
I told him I had all my own tools picks, duplicator, code cutter , and that I would just hang out in the shop , for the 3 weeks my wife had off.
He said the first thing he would have to do was a back ground check so I said Ill be honest with you, Im on probation from a DUI,duh.
I told him im a recovering alcoholic sober for 4 years ,duh.
I told him about how great the auto entry kit I have is,duh.
I gave him my number and said to call me because I was anctious to learn .
I went back the next day, his wife was in the shop,so I asked if he did the background check and she said he was really busy so he had not, so i offerd to get my own ,so I went online, paid the 10 bucks, printed it out and brought it down, and droped it off.
I was so suprized when the weeks went by with no call, duh.
Needless to say, I said all the wrong things, duh.
So I learned alot about what not to say.
It didnt hurt my feelings, cause I wouldnt have called my either.
By the way my back ground check sain I had no convictions against me.
I didnt care one way or another to work with the guy I just wanted to stay buisy for the time she had off.
Now that Im putting this down I think its prety funny that I was as truthfull as i was.
Maybe I should have told him I was a felon on the run and needed to find out how to steal cars to make my great getaway, or break in to safe deposit boxxes because I love diamonds or something.
I have a great sense of humor about it and know that Im going to learn all the stuff I need to know when I go to some difernt schools next year.
So I just figured I would give you my first experence about trying to get a job.
And by the way to all you guys that replied to "new baby butterboy" a few months ago my son Pheonix is doing great and hes 10 weeks old today.Im a very lucky guy to be able to be at home with my kids for this year , you guys should send your wife out to get a good job and stay at home if you can, think of all the practicing you could do, ha ha ha .
