Home Made Snap Gun

Postby PhreakPhy » 29 May 2004 12:08

I know its a toppic that has come up before, but I thought I would share my idea with everybody.

I first got my idea when reading the following thread. http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=2867
The snap gun in the top that is made of a coat hanger gave me this great idea. You are probably saying "OK, get on with it allready" So here it is...

You know those sparkers used for firing uo gas torches. I belive one of those could easl be modafied into a snap gun. That is what I thought that "coat hanger" was untill I read into the post. Being that I am on Summer vacation very soon, I will try and make one and post some pictures for everybody here in the next week or two (hopefuly).

Has anyone ever heard of this, or tryed it before?

Its been done, works, you just have to be careful using it as the spring is a little stout.

You'll probably find that the spring force in a torch lighter is a bit too strong due to the diameter of the wire. Try using something of a smaller diameter.
