Lock Picks in Seattle

Postby whitemight » 27 Aug 2007 11:26

There used to be a store (spy shop?) that sold lock picks in Seattle, does anyone know if it is still around? or know of any local (Seattle area) place that sells lock picks?

Thanks
WM

have you tried searching for its name or location on the interwebs?

You will get ripped off big time in a local shop.

There were three spy shops in Seattle that I know of:
Spy/P.I. Connection in Belltown just down the street from REI
Fox's Spy Outlet in North Seattle
Fox's Spy Outlet in Bellevue, just down the hill from Magnolia HiFi/Fred Meyer's/etc.

All have since closed down, likely due to pressure from the FBI w.r.t. sale of devices that could be used for illegal wiretapping or bugging. They were all wildly, staggeringly overpriced too.

wait... What?

Treating you as a person who for some unknown reason is choosing to rip themselves off and is requesting the name and location of a specific store that they themselves do not know the name of, the search in that picture does in fact turn up the all the stores listed by eric m above.

So lets review the facts placed before us:
1. Requires the name and location of a specific store that is unknown to the inquirer
2. Wants to may an exuberant price for an item due to ?
3. Seems offended when instructed on how to use a business listing site but seems not to have been able to turn up the same results as others

I calls'em likes I sees'em
