Anyone know the name of this thing?

I know this is a pretty common locking device, but it just occurred to me that I don't actually know the name for this. Is it just a deadbolt or is it something like a sliding shackebolt lever-lock? Additionally, is there any known way of bypassing, or "picking" it without damaging it? (before you ask, this one in particular is mine, on my deck)

We don't discuss high security locks in the open forums.

yes there are several ways to open that lock from the outside... cutting a hole throught the shartty screen door is at the top of that list followed in close second by a size 13 boot, and then the NDE manner <CENSORED>

yeah it should be pretty obvious how to do it but until a mod blessing is given we don't talk about that here

ok, so I suppose I deserved that. I was thinking in more general terms, not just opening this particular one (of course cut the screen, I've had to do that plenty), but moreso "in the wild." however, I do respect and understand the fact that just giving away that kinda info on an open forum is a no-no.

considering this is a hobby site and you shouldn't be opening wild ones and how they have to lock (from the inside) is precisely why we don't talk about it... sorry

ok, solid point, and we can just disregard that part of the question. I really just want to know the name of it.
